How To Use This Skill:

Reflecting on past experiences and achievements can provide confidence that you can repeat the process in the future. There is a lot of value in recognizing your achievement and how you got there.

Goal:
Understanding you have used goal setting in the past

Directions:
Pick an achievement from your past. It can be an athletic or academic achievement. List the achievement and reflect on what process and performance goals you used to reach it. You might not have known you were using process and performance goals but most likely you did in order to reach that achievement. List a future goal you would like to reach and label it a short or long-term goal. List the process and performance goals you will set for yourself to reach your future goal.

Example:
Past Achievement: I scored an 89 in a subject I was weak at.
Process Goals Used: I made sure I reread my notes each night. I started to study for my tests five days in advance. I handed in all of my assignments on time.
Performance Goals Used: I used the weekly quizzes to judge my progress.
